Maya Lumber is a wood product distributor company based in Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Our mission is to promote sustainable practices in the wood industry, ensuring that our products are sourced responsibly and meet the highest environmental and social standards. We are committed to supporting the local communities and ecosystems in the Maya region, including ejidos, which are communal land ownership systems in Mexico.

The Founders

English Oak to Mayan Mahogany

Originating from the southeast of England, Peter embarked on a transformative odyssey to Mexico six years ago.

After successfully building a jungle resort in Quintana Roo with his family, he delved deep into the vibrant Mayan culture, uncovering the distinctive qualities of local wood. Nurturing profound connections with the locals, he seized the chance to champion and elevate the communities he deeply admired.

Together with his partner Amelia, they meticulously crafted the identity and attributes of Maya Lumber, infusing it with a unique blend of their shared vision, passion, and respect for the rich tapestry of the Mayan heritage.

This marked the genesis of Maya Lumber.
